Dato new DOJ assistant secretary

MANILA, Feb. 22 — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has a new Assistant Secretary in the person of Atty. Ian Norman Dato.

Dato took his oath of office on Monday before DOJ Secretary Agnes Devanadera after the flag-raising ceremonies.

The oath-taking of the new DOJ Assistant Secretary was witnessed by the rank-and-file employees of the DOJ.

Dato replaced former Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs Teresita Reyes-Domingo.

Domingo reached the compulsory retirement age of 65 on Jan. 12, 2010.

She had a one-month extension of government service of until Feb. 12, 2010. (PNA)
