MANILA, March 10 — Seven art scholars from the University of the East (UE) will hold an exhibit at 6 p.m. on March 15 at the Gateway Mall in Araneta Center on Aurora Boulevard, Cubao, Quezon City.
It is Organized by The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP).
The FCCP scholars composed of four alumni and three graduating students from UE’s Bachelor of Arts (AB) Fine Arts program will be showcasing their works and paintings in various styles ranging from realism, social realism to abstract.
Organizers said through the FCCP scholarship, these artists were granted not only with assistance in their tuition fee and art materials but most importantly with the opportunity to pursue a passion that will harness their talents and potentials as Filipino artists.
Today, most of the FCCP scholars are already pursuing careers in the creative field as photographers, graphic designers and artists in advertising companies.
On the other hand, the graduating students are just as passionate to make their contribution in the Philippine creative industry and make a bright mark in the field of fine arts.
The scholars who will exhibit their works in the exhibit are: Romano Gerald Rago, Jenny Jasmin Lacay, Dave Lopez, Eleazar Perez, Chico Jansen Javier, Marinela Poso and Floyd Alcantara. (PNA)V3/JCA
