MANILA, Sept. 8 — The National Police Commission (Napolcom) celebrated its 44th anniversary on Wednesday with the theme, “Effective Local Governance for Improved Police Service: Tripartite Partnership Among Napolcom, LGUs and PNP."
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary and Napolcom Chairman Jesse M. Robredo was joined by Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Eduardo U. Escueta and Commissioners Luisito T. Palmera, Alejandro S. Urro, Constancia P. de Guzman and PNP Chief Jesus A. Verzosa in giving awards and commendation to Napolcom model employees and community partners who serve as members of the Napolcom Technical Committee on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
The Napolcom conferred plaques of recognition on Police Chief Supt. Lina C. Sarmiento of the PNP-Police Protection and Security Group; Atty. Flora C. Atilano of the Commission on Human Rights; Atty. Ma. Victoria Gleoresty SP. Guerra of the Supreme Court; and Administrator Ismael J. Herradura of the Parole and Probation Administration for their continued cooperation and support in the successful implementation of the government’s crime prevention and criminal justice programs.
Arsenio Organo of Pugad Lawin Philippines Inc., a non-governmental organization, was also given a plaque of recognition for his invaluable contributions as member of the Technical Working Committee of the National Crime Prevention Week.
“The Commission recognizes our community partners in grateful acknowledgment of their unselfish dedication and invaluable contributions to the crime prevention programs of the Napolcom and for their outstanding service to the community,” Escueta said.
Also cited were the Napolcom model employees for their selfless dedication and exemplary accomplishments as public servants. Loyalty awards were also given to employees who have rendered 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of dedicated public service.
“We take pride in giving awards to our rank-and-file and supervisors who are in the frontline services of the Commission in bringing the Napolcom closer to its clientele,” Escueta said. (PNA) scs/CLTC
