MATI CITY, Davao Oriental, June 24 — The Department of Trade and Industry in Davao Oriental (DTI-DO) will be hosting the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Negosyo Caravan on June 28-29 at the Honeys Hotel and Function Hall, Matiao, Mati City, this province.
DTI-Davao Oriental Provincial Director Ma. Belenda Q. Ambi said at least 300 existing and would-be entrepreneurs from all over the province are expected to participate and benefit from the activity.
Ambi also said the activity will bring together the national government agencies (NGAs) and private institutions that are involved in SME development.
This convergence is intended to address the common concerns of SMEs such as the availability, accessibility and affordability of business development services related to enabling environment, access to finance, access to markets and productivity and efficiency, she said.
Topics such as Business Ethics, Creative Selling Techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices, Credit Sourcing and Management, and Green Manufacturing will be discussed by experts in each of these fields in a bid to fully equip the entrepreneurs as they go on with their business.
The SME Negosyo Caravan is a project of DTIs Bureau of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (BMSMED) in coordination with the DTI regional and provincial offices and with the assistance of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) and Philippine Franchise Association (PFA).
