MANILA, June 24 The Supreme Court (SC) has conducted security training for judges at the Aimpoint Firing Range in Naga City, Camarines Sur.
Personal Security Training for Judges for Judicial Regions IV and V was 13th of its kind since the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on Judicial Security between the SC and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in January 2008.
The training-seminar aims to raise the judges personal security awareness and equip them with knowledge and skills on protecting themselves.
Private consultant Samson S. Macariola and trainers from the NBI assisted 50 selected judges from Regional Trial Courts (RTCs) and first level courts in the personal security training, which included orientation on threats assessment, crime prevention, firearms, and personal security measures, among others.
The security training is a joint project of the SC Committee on Security, the Philippine Judicial Academy (PhilJA), and the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA) in coordination with the NBI. (PNA) RMA/PTR/utb
