ILOILO CITY, July 26 - Topnotch business leader Manuel V. Pangilinan will deliver the keynote address on Friday, July 29, in a gathering of top business leaders and entrepreneurs in this part of the country during the 1st Iloilo City Business Summit at Sarabia Manor Hotel here.
The business summit is sponsored by the Iloilo City Trade and Investment Promotions Board (ICTIPB) under the office of the city mayor and in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Junior Chamber International Iloilo and Injap Land Corp.
City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the gathering of top business leaders in Iloilo and from Metro Manila will seek to discuss the innovative and sustainable development for growth of the city and its vision for action to meet the challenges of the fast changing world.
Pangilinan, chairman of the Metro Pacific Investments Corp. and head of several other business corporations in the country and abroad, will talk on Revitalizing Struggling Businesses to Succeed in Todays Competitive Market.
The keynote speaker will be properly introduced by ICTIPB chairman Felix Tiu to be followed by an open forum with more than 500 local and national business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Mabilog is also set to deliver the Mayors 1st Annual Report focusing on the achievements of his administration in the first year and the hope and expectations on socio-economic programs especially on business in this part of the Philippines.
Other important speakers are Ambassador Jesus P. Tambunting, chairman and president of Planters Development Bank, who will speak on Financing Options for SMEs; chairman Ramon del Rosario of Phinma Corp. who will speak on World Class Education Towards Entrepreneurship; Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, president/CEO of Lamoiyan Corp. who will speak on Breaking through Barriers: The Hapee Story; Jonathan D. De Luzurriaga, EVP-CIBI Information Inc. on the topic Iloilo – In the global IT/BPO landscape: and former Tourism Secretary Narzalina Z. Lim, president of the Iloilo Economic Development Foundation Inc., who will speak on Investment Opportunities for Tourism in Iloilo.
