MOSCOW, Jan. 27 — The launch of Russia's Proton-M carrier rocket with a Dutch telecommunication satellite has been postponed due to technical reasons, Russia's federal space agency Roscosmos said Friday.
The launch, scheduled on Saturday, was initially slated for Dec. 26 last year, but was postponed also due to technical reasons.
"Today we are planning to carry out operations to dismount the Proton-M rocket from the launch pad and transport it to the integration building," Roscosmos said in a statement posted on its official website.
Roscosmos did not specify the technical problems in the statement.
According to the agency, the date and time for the next launch will be determined after all necessary fixings and tests.
The Dutch satellite NSS-14 (SES-4) was designed to provide various satellite services to customers in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America. (PNA/Xinhua) LAP/hbc/utb
