BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Feb. 25 – SN Aboitiz Power (SNAP)- Magat and the local government here have provided free medical and dental services to some 6,000 residents of three towns covered by the firm's operations.
SNAP-Magat is on its fifth year as partner of the activity, held every month of February for indigent residents of the municipality, said lawyer Mike Hosillos, the firms vice president for corporate services.
The annual medical mission benefited residents of in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya; Cordon, Isabela; and Aguinaldo, Ifugao.
In Diadi town, at least 5,000 beneficiaries from 19 barangays availed of the free medical and dental consultation and treatment services inside the community center with volunteer doctors.
About 500 villagers also turned out for the medical mission in Cordon town, while there were more than 400 clients served in Aguinaldo town.
The medical missions team of medical experts and nurses treated various illnesses such as upper respiratory tract infection, gastroenteritis, osteoarthritis, gastritis, urinary tract infection, and hypertension.
The series of activities is part of SNAP-Magats corporate social responsibility program for municipalities in its host provinces.
SNAP-Magat is a joint venture between SN Power of Norway and AboitizPower. It owns and operates the 360-megawatt Magat hydroelectric power plant located at the border of Isabela and Ifugao. (PNA)
