OMB commends Makati PNP

MANILA, April 1 – The Optical Medium Board (OMB) lauds the Makati Police for its valuable assistance to the regulatory body which resulted in the confiscation of more than P8 million worth of pirated DVDs at Makati Cinema Square recently.

According to OMB chairman Ronnie Ricketts, members of the Makati City police, headed by Sr. Supt. Jaime Santos was instrumental to the success of the operation.

Ricketts said that the board's commitment in mitigating the rampant piracy of optical media products would raise the quality of the country’s movie and music industry.

Ricketts also said that no additional financial reward was involved and this showed the Makati Police dedication and commitment in enforcing the law.

He expected continuous successful operations with the help of PNP.
