4-time world champion Coo to grace bowling event

MANILA, May 14 — Filipino tenpin bowling athlete and hall of famer Olivia "Bong" Coo will be the guest speaker during the formal opening of the 1st Philsca (Philippine State College of Aeronautics) President Cup Dr. Bernard R. Ramirez Bowling Tournament May 18.

This will be held at the AMF Puyat Bowling Lanes, Makati Cinema Square in Makati City.

Coo, a four-time world champion, distinguished with a record five gold medals (by a Filipino athlete) in the Asian Games, was the first Filipino athlete listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

She is expected to encourage participants and share some of her secrets for her rise as one of the world’s top players.

"Ms Coo is the perfect choice to be our guest speaker, " said Physical Education and Sports Department official Gigi A. Manaog, who organized the said event along with Higenio Burce and Ricky Santiago thru its gender and development committee focal person Rowena Navera.

A total of 12 teams to compete coming from the 4 Philsca Campuses namely:Philsca-Villamor Air Base in Pasay City, Philsca-Fernando Air Base in Lipa, Batangas, Philsca-Basa Air Base, Pampanga and Philsca-Mactan Air Base, Campus, Mactan, Cebu. (PNA) hbc/LOR
