BEIRUT, July 24 — Lebanese President Michel Suleiman denounced Monday the reoccurring shelling and shooting incidents near the Lebanese-Syrian border and the Syrian troops' infiltration into Lebanon's eastern border, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
According to the NNA, the president asked Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour to hand Syrian ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Ali a letter of complaint over these incidents.
He also demand the army command and the concerned security forces work hand in hand so as to curb such violations.
On Sunday, a Syrian force of 30 troops reportedly infiltrated 500 meters into Lebanon's eastern border region of Masharii al-Qaa. (PNA/Xinhua) CTB/rsm
