WV Nutri-Media Circle conducts workshop for NNC

ILOILO CITY, July 24 – The newly formed Western Visayas Nutri-Media Circle over the weekend conducted broadcasting, writing and photojournalism workshop for National Nutrition Council (NNC) personnel as well as on other nutrition program coordinators from other government agencies.

NNC Regional Coordinator Nona Tad-y said the workshop is being held among NNC personnel and other nutrition program coordinators because of the many innovations, programs and projects that are undergoing implementation even if such are not recognized and shared for purposes of advocacy due limited resource in terms of broadcasting, writing and in getting photos.

“We lack the ability in writing and in getting photos,”Tad-y said.

She then thanked the Media Circle headed by president Elena Pabiona of Radyo Ng Bayan for conducting such activity that could greatly help them.

“We are fortunate because of the organization of the Western Visayas Nutri-Media Circle, which is a group of media practitioners who are creative, highly motivated and supportive,” Tad-y said.

The workshop held at the Sarabia Manor Hotel in the city had their speakers Pabiona for Broadcasting and Ethics, Philippines News Agency Bureau Chief Annabel Java-Petinglay for News and Feature Writing, and Manila Bulletin Tara Yap for Photojournalism.(PNA) CTB/AJP/vlo
