OB-GYN surgeons to hold mid-year convention in Legazpi

LEGAZPI CITY, Jan. 31 — The Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society Foundation, Inc. (POGS) is set to hold its national midyear convention in this city in April.

The city government of Legazpi has been informed of the participation of the majority of the POGS members and officers and that some of them will bring along their families because the occasion will be in time for the celebration of the Albay provincial government’s annual Magayon Festival.

The convention is set on April 10-12 at the Oriental Hotel here with the theme, “Women matter: Pregnancy and beyond.”

Albay Gov. Joey Salceda has pledged to hold a “Governor’s Night” to convention participants in support of POGS and the city government in the latter’s effort to sustain its campaign of keeping Legazpi a “Convention City.”

The city government will also hold a “Mayor’s Night” on the first day of the POGS convention.(PNA)
