MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, April 26 — Biking enthusiasts are enjoined to participate in the "7th Takbulacan" fun biking event for an honest, orderly and peaceful May 13 elections on Sunday.
Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado said the fun biking event will help boost the information campaign that aims to achieve the conduct of an honest, orderly and peaceful elections (H.O.P.E.)in the province.
The event, which is now on its seventh year, is organized by SALIKA Foundation, Inc. in partnership with several institutions to promote camaraderie among all Bulakenyos and people who never grow tired of believing in the value of unity, charity, and volunteerism.
Wilfredo Barroquillo Jr. of SALIKA Foundation said that registration is ongoing and interested participants will have to pay P200 registration fee.
First 200 registrants will receive free Sun cellular Sim cards.
Bulacan election supervisor Elmo Roque is expected to grace the event which will kick off at 5:00 a.m.
The event will start from two staging areas, one is from Marcelo H. Del Pilar Shrine in Bulakan, Bulacan and the other is from the Grotto Vista resort in the City of San Jose del Monte.
It will end at the Bulacan Sports Complex in Sta. Isabel, Malolos City.
The event is in partnership with the Philippine Councilors League (PCL-Bulacan) headed by its president Ariel Arceo, Commission on Elections (Comelec), Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, University of the Philippines LAKAN and Integrated Federation of Bulacan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (IFBTODA).
Proceeds from the "Takbulacan" will be donated to SALIKA Foundation, Inc. for their livehood projects.
