NAGANO, Japan, July 30 — Three men believed to be members of a climbing party from South Korea were found collapsed Tuesday morning on a mountain range in central Japan, police said.
The three, whom rescuers found separately on a climbing route in the Central Alps between the 2,728-meter Mt. Hinokio and the 2,931-meter Mt. Hoken, had suffered cardiac arrest, according to the police.
They are believed to have been among nine who went missing Monday from the group of 14 men and six women in their 40s to 70s. (PNA/Kyodo)
