ISLAMABAD, Nov. 28 — The senior most judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has been appointed new Chief Justice of Pakistan, state media reported on Thursday.
Radio Pakistan quoted that Justice Jillani will take oath of his office on the 12th of next month.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is retiring on 11th of next month.
President Mamnoon Hussain will administer oath from the newly appointed Chief Justice at the President House Islamabad.
Federal Secretary Law Barrister Zafarullah has also confirmed that the notification for the new Chief Justice had been issued. (PNA/IRNA)
