MANILA, Nov. 28 — Bohol, Southern Leyte and Leyte Province will experience moderate to heavy rains Friday due to the tail-end of a cold front and extended cloud of the low pressure area off Mindanao.
As such, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday afternoon issued a yellow rainfall warning on these provinces.
Under the heavy rainfall warning system, a yellow rainfall advisory is raised when the expected rainfall amount is between 7.5 mm and 15 mm within one hour and likely to continue.
Communities given this advisory are advised to be aware of the weather condition and warned that flooding may be possible in low-lying areas.
It warned of "possible flooding in low-lying areas and those located near the river and creek channels."
"People are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch out for the next warning," said PAGASA. (PNA)
