, Feb 23 — Mitch Albom, best-selling author of Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven and For One More Day is set to hold his book signing event on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Ayala Center Cebu after his arrival in the country to promote his latest book The First Phone Call From Heaven.
On Saturday, his avid fans of book-lovers gathered in his book signing event in Manila for their every purchase of his latest book which comes with a flyer that serves as a guaranteed signing pass.
Guests who would like to get a memorabilia may have their photos taken with Albom during the signing session.
Apart from the book signing events, Albom planned to visit the country to call on the victims of typhoon Yolanda. Struck with the devastation brought by the typhoon to the residents in Tacloban and other affected areas in the Visayas region, Albom will be donating 40 boats to the fisherfolk who have lost their livelihood due to the typhoon. He is also set to reopen 10 libraries in these areas from which he also earned the support of his author friends like Stephen King, Amy Tan and John Grisham. One of the libraries will be named after Mitch and Janine Albom.
In his weeklong trip to the Philippines, Albom is set to spend his final day to call for support on Yolanda victims. (PNA)
