Isabela Env’t task force scores anew

ILAGAN CITY, isabela, May 21 (PNA) – The Isabela Environment Protection Task Force (IEPTF) scored anew after it confiscated Monday several pieces of narra flitches and common hardwood forest products abandoned at the bank of Abuan river.

IEPTF vice chairperson Amethst Costales said the Task Force confiscated 19 pieces of square logs of narra flicthes and eight pieces of common hardwood abandoned during their anti-illegal logging operations last Monday.

Costales said the anti-illegal logging operations will be conducted continuously in the province to protect the remaining forest and to apprehend and confiscate illegally transported logs or lumbers from illegal loggers.

She said the task force also filed criminal charges against illegal loggers who were found violating forestry laws.

The task force brought the confiscated forest products to to the capitol gymnasium for safekeeping, Costales said. (PNA)
