Central Visayas tourism officers meet for by-laws and constitution

DUMAGUETE CITY, July 30 — The Central Visayas Tourism Officers Association (CVTOA) held its second meeting last July 26 and 27 in Panglao, Bohol with the main agenda focusing on the finalization of the body’s constitution and by-laws.

A report was also given by the president to serve as recap on previous month’s meeting, a news release from the City Tourism Office of Dumaguete on Wednesday said.

The CVTOA Officers, under the supervision of Regional Director Rowena Lu Y. Montecillo of the Department of Tourism and the leadership of its president, Mr. Woodrow Maquiling Jr., Dumaguete City Tourism Officer, gathered at the Amorita Resort to conduct its regular meeting.

The two-day meeting was hosted by Atty. Lucas Niccolo Cauton III, proprietor of Amorita Resort and Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero, proprietor of Alona Tropical Resort.

CVTOA was formed to create collaboration among all tourism officers in Region VII in creating a structured framework towards a more vigorous tourism industry in the region.
