MANILA, — A magnitude 3.1 earthquake jolted the province of Zamboanga del Sur on Monday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
In its bulletin, the agency said the tremor occurred at 6:35 a.m. with its epicenter traced 12 kilometers southwest of Midsalip townin Zamboanga del Sur.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 11 kilometers.
PHIVOLCS said there was no casualty or damage reported fromthe tremor and aftershocks were also not expected. (PNA)
