5.2-magnitude quake hits 143 km east of Yamada, Japan — USGS

HONG KONG, April 16 — An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted 143 km east of Yamada, Japan at 19:55 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 39.3247 degrees north latitude and 143.6016 degrees east longitude. (PNA/Xinhua)
