MANILA, April 21 — A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Southern Leyte province on Tuesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at 3:59 a.m,with the epicenter traced seven kilometers northwest of Maasin in Southern Leyte.
The agency said the quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a shallow depth of 23 kilometers.
Phivolcs said there was no casualty or damage reported from the temblor and no aftershocks were expected from it. (PNA)
